Des Moines has the largest Jewish population in the state, and has become central in supporting communities across Iowa. After the closures of Beth El Jacob Synagogue in Des Moines and the Quad Cities Jewish Community Center, the state was left without a community mikveh open to all Jews regardless of their affiliation. This new mikveh will ensure the legacy and continuation of the Jewish community in Des Moines and all of Iowa for generations to come.
